Roughan Care's philosophy of care is built on strong beliefs and values. Every day we explore new ways to Care for Life, to move forward, to improve our business, to raise the bar - collectively dedicated to improve the lives of every resident.
Providing consistently high standards of care is a tremendously difficult challenge. Be assured that if we do not meet your expectations we will respond immediately to fix the problem.
Our philosophy is the belief in the following four core values:
Residents come first
Satisfying our residents’ individual needs is paramount. We provide a service to our residents and take the time to talk, to listen, to understand, to share a smile, a tear, and to put our arms around someone in a time of need. We must ensure that the holistic needs of our residents are consistently met.
Complete Professionalism
Regardless of roles, we set ourselves high personal and professional standards, and constantly strive to make ourselves more effective. Every improvement, no matter how small, can make a difference.
Teamwork
We work together as a team as it makes everyone’s job easier, makes work-life more enjoyable and makes it easier to care for our residents. Team workers support their colleagues and go out of their way to help others.
Open communication
Employees must communicate to residents, visitors and each other in a respectful manner. We communicate openly, are free to comment on areas that can be improved and have the strength of character to take feedback constructively, to learn from it and improve as a result.
It is the objective of the care home that our residents live in a clean, comfortable and safe environment, and be treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities.
Staff are sensitive to the individual needs of residents and provide the appropriate degree of care to ensure the highest possible quality of life within the home.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised Resident Care Plan, which addresses their individual range of needs and recognises our core values of care: the rights to privacy; dignity; independence; choice; fulfilment; security; respect and equality.
